An artist book accompanying Ramsden’s 1992 exhibition at Western Front. The publication includes a selection of the portraits of women presented in the exhibition, accompanied by excerpts from Nietzsche’s texts on women. These present a concern with disrupting text and linear narrative, the subjectivity of women, women’s relation to the discourses of mastery, and the relation between the real (original) and the represented.
